“Don’t get media envy, get Amazon Ads.”
The Drum shares the story of Amazon Ads creation of a short film which was targeted at media buyers globally. The goal was to shift the perception of Amazon Ads only offering ‘low funnel’ solutions and instead has a whole array of ‘upper funnel’ solutions. The film uses humour and media ‘envy’ when missing out of Amazon Ad’s solution.
“But envy is nothing to be ashamed of. Because for our audience, it’s a strong motivator of media experimentation. It’s the spark that drives them from: “Damn, I wish I did that.”, to: “Next time, that will be me!”.

Case Study with Adobe: Mastering Amazon Marketing Cloud
Adobe global partnership story
After having run a DSP test campaign in Q4 2022 in EMEA, Adobe decided to partner with Amerge from Q1 2023 on Sponsored Ads and DSP. Amerge could significantly increase Adobe’s results in terms of driving new customer acquisition but also driving efficiency in the region. That’s why they decided to test a similar approach in the US, we went fully live in Q3 2023. Since then, Amerge has been running on behalf of Adobe in EMEA and North America, now including Canada, all Amazon Advertising activities across the funnel including upper funnel activities; Prime Video or Fire Devices with the goal to have a fully global approach including APAC by the end of the fiscal year 2024.
Advertising challenge
Adobe Creative Cloud suite of all apps is Adobe’s most premium subscription product and thus challenging in terms of new customer acquisition. In May 2023, we partnered with the Creative Cloud business unit to drive gross new ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) with Amazon DSP globally.
“We leveraged Amazon’s rich audience data but mixed them via DMP integration with Adobe’s audiences to win incremental customers for Adobe. In a test and learn approach, different audiences and creative strategies have been used. Among these, adobe.com subscriber lookalikes, lapsed adobe.com customers, AMC Sponsored Ads views retargeting, or Streaming TV campaign exposures that run across different video and display formats on and offsite. All accompanied by a brand lift study. After developing a strong base setup in the US, the campaign expanded to DE, UK and FRITES, and from there, been adjusted to the needs of every market, ” said Max Rottenaicher, Managing Director of Amerge Germany.
Our results
After testing different strategies and finding a strong base set up in the US, from Q3 2023 the campaign expanded to DE & UK, followed by FRITES in 2024. Through the partner, gross new ARR for Adobe Creative Cloud all apps could be increased by 33.6% and the US brand awareness by 10%.
Key metrics
- Total Amazon Sales of the Creative Cloud ASIN increased by 46.68% in the US, 46.67% in DE, and 65.47% in the UK.
- Gross New ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) increased YoY by 33.6%.
- Brand Awareness for Adobe Creative Cloud increased by 10%.
What does the client say?
“We have been working with Amerge in EMEA since late 2022 and they have demonstrated great campaign management skills in both Sponsored Ads and DSP while delivering meaningful insights via Amazon Marketing Cloud, which is why we have extended the partnership to cover North America as well. We also appreciate Amerge’s flexibility to create a custom dashboard for us.”
Peter Röser, Head of North America and EMEA retail sales & marketing at Adobe
