Last week marked a key milestone in our journey as we gathered for our first leadership summit at our headquarters in London. With leaders coming from US, Germany and all Amerge Locales, the summit was an invaluable opportunity to delve into strategic discussions, align on product visions, foster cross-departmental collaboration, and assess our progress on the H1 Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) while gearing up for an exciting H2.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of daily operations, it’s all too easy to lose sight of the overarching goals. This is precisely why we underscored the significance of taking a step back to reassess our trajectory. Are the goals still in harmony with our overarching vision? Are the strategies effectively propelling us toward our desired outcomes? It’s important to recognize when a goal no longer serves its intended purpose and be prepared to adapt and recalibrate accordingly.
We dedicated a special session to the H1 OKRs review. “Objectives and Key Results play a pivotal role in our success and are embedded within our strategic planning. During our early days at Amerge we utilised John Doerr’s book ‘Measure what matters’ and started using OKR’s as a framework towards succeeding our company mission. By setting clear objectives and defining measurable key results, our teams align their efforts towards common goals, fostering focus, accountability, and agility within the organization. Moreover, OKRs encourage transparency and communication within Amerge, enabling teams to track performance, identify obstacles, and iterate strategies for continuous improvement.” said John Doyle, CEO & Co-Founder at Amerge.
Despite a jam-packed agenda, we made sure to have some fun of course! From shuffle club to live music, these interludes provided much-needed “room to breathe”, fostering our team spirit and company values.
As we ‘amerge’ from the summit, we are focused on delivering the best possible experience for our customers.
