Transform Customer Insights into Action with AMC Audiences for Sponsored Ads
With AMC, advertisers gain in-depth understanding of customers’ journeys across Amazon Ads media and channels. This launch helps advertisers take action on these insights across Amazon Ads vs previously only in Amazon DSP. Sponsored Ads advertisers can now leverage rule-based or lookalike audiences in Sponsored Display targeting or in Sponsored Products and Sponsored Brands bid boosts and reach shoppers at the right time and place in their shopping journey.
Amazon Ads Launches Audience Bid Boosting for Sponsored Products and Brands
Announced at unBoxed 2024, Amazon Ads has launched a new feature allowing advertisers to create and target custom audiences with adjustable bids. This feature enables more efficient audience engagement, allowing advertisers to refine their targeting strategies and potentially improve conversion rates by adjusting bids for specific audience segments.
Streamlined Streaming: Freevee Transitions to Prime Video
Freevee will be phased out over the course of the next few weeks. Going forward, content that had been on the service will be subsumed under Amazon’s Prime Video brand. In the markets where Freevee has been launched (the U.S., the U.K., Germany and Austria), free content will be made available to non-Prime users under the Prime Video umbrella and will be labelled “Watch for Free.” This reflects a competitive strategy to centralise efforts and focus investments, allowing Amazon to better compete with other streaming giants.
The Battleground for Netflix and Amazon: Live Sports
The real battleground for all ad-supported tiers, including Netflix and Amazon, focuses on live sports. The live sports industry is the last bastion of linear TV viewing. But the world is changing fast. About half of U.S. audiences no longer pay for cable TV or other traditional pay TV services, according to Insider Intelligence. About four out of 10 viewers mainly consume sports content through ad-supported CTV platforms or social media, according to Trade Desk’s Future of TV Report.

Amazon is gearing up to launch its latest artificial intelligence chips, a strategic move to compete with market leader Nvidia and maximise the return on its multibillion-dollar semiconductor investments. The holiday campaign “Midnight Opus” tells the inspiring story of a theatre janitor with a passion for singing. In a heartwarming gesture, his coworkers surprise him by setting up a stage for his performance, complete with a tuxedo jacket they acquire just in time through Amazon. The campaign celebrates the spirit of giving and community, set to the timeless classic “What the World Needs Now Is Love” by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, evoking uplifting themes perfect for the holiday season.
Say Hello to Haul: Amazon’s new $20 and under store ready to challenge Shein and Temu
“Amazon Haul aims to help make shopping for fashion, home, lifestyle, electronics, and other products even more fun, easy, and affordable, all backed by Amazon’s A-to-Z product guarantee so customers can shop with confidence that the products they’re purchasing are safe, authentic, and in the condition expected,” Dharmesh Mehta, Amazon’s vice president of worldwide selling partner services, said in a news release.
Amazon stock hits new high as the tech giant launches Haul
On the stock market today, Amazon stock is up a fraction at 214.60, signalling another high. Shares closed Wednesday 13th up 2.5% at 214.10, a record-high for Amazon. Amazon topped third-quarter earnings and sales estimates when it reported results on Halloween. Shares have gained 41% year to date.

After an incredible unBoxed experience in Austin, our Amerge Germany team continued with repping Amerge at unBoxed on Tour in Düsseldorf and participating as one of main sponsors. The first week of November we held our 4th annual Amerge offsite across 4 days. This year felt different than others. Not only had the team grown by another 30 people since the previous year, but we’re entering our 5th year anniversary in 2025.

We kicked things off with a company-wide all-hands, celebrated our values with company awards, filmed with our global Business Development team, and had in-person 1:1s. Being a global team across nine countries and three continents, we know the power of face-to-face moments — whether it’s working on a QBR, filming case studies, or sharing laughs over lunch and on the dance floor. Earth Rated Case Study: DSP Video & Amazon Streaming TV
In September 2024, we were recognized as a finalist for the 2024 Americas Beyond the Funnel Innovation Award. This achievement was driven by our strategic approach to sustaining Best Seller status and customer loyalty for Earth Rated, a leading brand in the Pet category and one of our longest-standing partners, following their major rebranding and the launch of a new product line in Q4 2023.
Founded in 2009, Earth Rated set out to make cleaning up after pets easier and more sustainable. Today, its products are trusted by over 4.5 million people globally and are available in over 20,000 stores across 40+ countries. Amerge began its partnership with Earth Rated in August 2020. Since then, through our expert guidance and innovative technologies, Earth Rated has continued to expand its presence within the Pet Supplies category on Amazon.
Challenge
Earth Rated faced the challenge of maintaining brand recognition and customer loyalty after a major rebranding in mid-2023, while launching a new product line in Q4 2023. They also needed to maintain their #1 Best Seller status and achieve overall sales growth through innovative, targeted advertising strategies.
Our approach
Our approach combined targeted advertising with comprehensive audience engagement. We used DSP Video OLV to elevate brand awareness post re-branding, ensuring retention among existing customers and attracting new ones. For the new Toys product launch, we crafted Amazon Streaming TV campaigns targeting both loyal and New-to-Brand customers.

Results
The campaign achieved a strong 69% VCR from OLV. STV campaigns generated more than 2,500 units sold and 80 new subscriptions. Overall YoY sales grew 13.22% with a 23.31% increase as of May ‘2024.
